Saint Jude

Daily prayer
to St. Jude

O kindSaint-Jude, our faithful intercessor to Jesus, receive the following special intentions : to present them to the Almighty Lord, Root of all good. Above all, grant us an increase of our faith in His love. May each day find us closer in our relationship with our Heavenly Father. KindSaint-Jude, you who has revived hope in our hearts, you whose model merits and life bring us the divine blessings and graces, be our advocate, and lead us to Jesus and Mary. With you, blessed apostle, we give thanks and praise God with all our heart for His innumerable kindnesses. Amen.

The Monthly Note

May 2018

Christ is Risen, Alleluia! Let's prepare ourselves for the gift of the Holy Spirit!

National Museum of Québec.

February 11th 2018, Pope Francis decided that the first Monday after Pentecost, each year, the Church will honor the "Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of the Church."
Please allow me to share a personal point of view. At Pentecost, the Risen Christ kept his promise and God the Father sent the strength of the Holy Spirit to the disciples and the apostles. They became witnesses of His life, His teaching, His death, His Resurrection and His Ascension (Luke 24,49). The mission of saving us from eternal death, to become brothers and sisters of Christ by Baptism, which is the Salvation wanted by God, Christ’s mission continues with us being living witnesses of the Gospel.
After the visit of the Angel Gabriel, Mary of Nazareth decided to risk all her life for the mission entrusted by God to her. Her mission is to allow the Son of God to share our humanity so that we could share His divinity. She was very close to Jesus throughout His life, at His death and at Pentecost. For us, she is a model of a faithful who risks to fulfill the mission entrusted by God to her.
This month, I invite you fraternally to pray for the Dominicans in Canada. Starting June 3rd, we will have our Provincial Chapter, which is held every four years. The capitulars will gather at our convent in Ottawa, to analyze what we have been through since 2014 and to propose courses of action until 2022. We need your prayers: they are like the dynamo that allows us to bring the Light of the Gospel in all places where we live and where we do some ministry.
Dear Friend of St. Jude, the Dominicans and the Praying Team of St. Jude continue to pray for you, your prayer intentions and your families. We do it fraternally at the 2:30 Mass, every Thursday of St. Jude. Be confident, there is hope!
